What is Gitcoin Presents?

Executed by blockchain funding firm Gitcoin and NFT platform Metalabel, the minting of this collection intends to honor the 2018 publication on Quadratic Funding, a fundraising system for public goods. The paper was co-authored by Vitalik Buterin, Zoë Hitzig, a Harvard University economist, and Glen Weyl, an economist and social activist.

Out of the Quadratic Funding Collection's tokens, twelve NFTs were designated as "Signature Edition" records and were exclusively available for collectors to mint at a price of 10 ETH, providing buyers with a signed copy of the original white paper authored by the three co-authors.

Vitalik NFT Price

The project has sparked excitement among Twitter and NFT collectors, while users are calling the collection as the "Vitalik NFT drop" in reference to the participation of Ethereum's co-founder.

The value and popularity of Gitcoin NFT collection are quickly increasing due to its association with Vitalik. This is good news considering the profits from the collection will be distributed among Gitcoin, Metalabel, and the Plurality Institute, a technology research organization, in order to continue supporting public goods.
