Talking about the Meebits NFT collection, it consists of 20,000 unique 3D-voxel characters, each with its own randomly generated traits. The Meebits is a project whic was inspired by characters from popular games like Minecraft and Roblox. The Meebits NFTs, can be broken down into seven different types, including humans, pigs, and skeletons. Each character has a range of unique features like tattoos, hats, and glasses, which makes them one-of-a-kind.

Meebits are usuallyused as profile pictures on social media or as avatars in the metaverse. The OBJ file that comes with each NFT makes it possible for holders to 3D-print their Meebits and own a physical piece of art, a feature that make them even more unique. This cute 3D models, that form the Meebits collection, are expected to play an essential role in an emerging metaverse, a virtual world where users can interact using avatars. Behind this collection, we find an extremely famous NFT name, Larva Labs.

The Meebits project has been a runaway success, and it goes without saying that, owning a 3D model of one's avatar is an exciting prospect for many NFT fans, and the rarity of has driven up Meebits floor prices significantly. For example, Meebit #6337, a 3D skeleton in a suit, sold for about half a million dollars at a Christie's auction in September 2021.

The Meebits were created under the Ethereum ERC-721 token standard. They are traded on a proprietary marketplace without any fees, but they can also be traded on any Ethereum-based NFT market, like for example Opensea. While some big tech companies are building centralized metaverses where they control all the virtual assets, Larva Labs and other Web3 pioneers hope to create a truly decentralized metaverse. In this metaverse, users would own virtual assets in the form of NFTs that can be migrated between different platforms. With the potential to become a crucial part of the metaverse, Meebits' unique 3D models have made them a highly desirable NFT for collectors and digital art investors.
